Fun find and patio progress...

After finishing the concrete around the pool yesterday, the landscapers laid out the tile pattern...

The step is done...
And the other step is done...
All the concrete around the pool is now finished...
The sandstone topper for the seat wall was on, but not attached...
DH worked on the wiring for the pool light last night after he got home from work. He also hooked up my computer and TV in the sewing studio, so now I have something to listen to while sorting through boxes.

DS and I were busy yesterday driving to Monroeville to pick up DH's latest find. I am married to the master of deal finders and he found this for $99.00 at Sears...

It was originally priced at $800. and went on sale for $400, then down to $200, and now any stores that still have them in stock are selling them for $99. The Monroeville store still had some, so we were able to get one. It actually has gotten very good reviews, even though it doesn't have a solid slate bed. We figured that even if just the kids use it, we'll get our moneys worth out of it. It will go down in the basement, once we clear enough boxes out of the way and DH finds a spare 3-4 hours to assemble it (in other words, we might have it up before DD comes home for Fall break in October, but I'm not going to hold my breath)!

The landscapers are busy bees this morning. There are 5 guys working instead of the normal 3. Two are working on the travertine tile and the other 3 are working on the sandstone for the top of the seat walls. We're ready for this project to be done!

Love the striped material on the hope chest! And the bathrooms rugs are both great - can't you take that checkered rug and cut it into a design that will work in that room and just bind up the edges? I love the colors in it, but, without seeing the whole room, it's hard to tell. I love the deck and can't wait to see the wood down - that will be really sharp!

Too late for the rug - I already returned it, but that was a good idea!

We can't wait to see the wood down too! This project is feeling like it's taking forever!

So, when are you coming down for a visit? Hmmmmm?
